Our youngest National Vice President!

One of the reason I love our amazing group of Moms here on the Freedom At Home Team they are dedicated to offering so much the support, encouragement & training. Kristie has that as a leader along with a personal spirit of overcoming the hurdles. I have learned from her this is really what it takes to have success in this business. I love "paying it forward" to my team!
Please to announce  & congratulate my friend Kristie DeGraw in reaching National  Vice President!  Way to go!!!

A note from our fearless team founder Janie...
"Oh my! We are literally jumping up and down this morning! Kristie D.  is officially an Ameriplan National Vice President! It's been a joy to see her rise up to the top. It was certainly not an easy climb but she did it. Kristie is a true champion and we are so blessed to have her with us. Can't wait to see her walk down the stage at convention as the newest and youngest NVP in Ameriplan! We love you Kristie!"

Get your work at home thinking out of the box!

One of the things I tell my prospect business partners and my current ones as well is you have to learn to love being a "marketer" if you are going to own any business. The same is true for a brick and mortar business and even more so for a home based business.  Unless... you have it in your budget to pay someone to do this how else are you going to bring customers to you?  Let's face it most of us and  I hear many Moms they tell me they are starting or I hear the words "trying" the venture on a shoestring budget.  You will have get your thinking "out of the box" having a business you will have to invest something and it will be either money or your time on marketing there is no way around it if you want to be successful.

Taking the time to learn about marketing your product or service. Many Moms I talk with think they just sign up for the work at home business and then it sells its self…there is nothing out there like that.  It's that "thinking" that  makes most of Moms frustrated and quit before we have even started. You have to be committed to learning the skills it takes to do the work and marketing is the biggest part of the learning curve.

However, you could not be starting a business at a better time with the bulk of information on the internet you can learn so much more on your own, from groups and other place like YouTube university as I call it.  Learn to get good at doing research and there really is no real reason not to learn the skill of marketing.  Let's be honest with yourself....I had to be, my own excuses stood in my way in the beginning of my business.  The fact that I am now writing this blog is part of the proof I've gotten over that.

Looking forward to seeing you out of that box!

A real Mom makes stride in her business!

al
THE
IS PROUD TO INTRODUCE TO YOU,
OUR NEWEST Regional Sales DIRECTOR
Nakesha C., RSD

My name is Nikki. I am a wife and mother of three children. I was a Dental Hygienist for 10 years and recently lost my job. I knew ahead of time that this was going to happen so after having my 3rd child I decided that I really want to stay home and be the one who raises my children. I have been looking for a homebased business for years and never came across AmeriPlan until last year. There's not a day that goes by that I don't wish that I would have found out about this opportunity sooner, but everything happens for a reason. The good Lord must have thought I was ready. Currently, I work this business almost full time and work part time as Massage Therapist. I can't tell you how great it feels to be with my children all day and be able to work. Now I'm a RSD!!! I have gained more confidence on this Journey and I can't wait to get to the next level and beyond. I want to thank Ghislaine for always being there, making me laugh, and seeing something in me that I didn't. I'd also like to thank Kelly for her help as well. You all truly know the meaning of "team work.

Nikki, I am so proud of your accomplishment! You have 3 beautiful children and they are your motivation. You have shown your determination and SRSD is your next goal. You can do it and I am cheering for you on the way. Your friend Gee S. ~ NSD

Get ready for 2014....here it comes!

Get ready for the new year with this to-do list built to help you make your life more productive and positive.

1. Set goals. Take a good look at what you want in life. Have you committed to these goals by purposefully taking steps toward reaching them?

2. Get a mentor. Seek out people with knowledge you desire. Ask about mentorship possibilities.

3. Read. Create a personal reading program by determining how many books of different kinds (personal development, business, nonfiction) you’ll read this year. Don’t skip literary fiction; a recent study shows it improves social skills!

4. Improve productivity. Log your activities for a week to assess time-wasters. Make sure you aren’t spending chunks of the day on activities that don’t drive your business forward or improve your life.

5. Wake up early. Get up before your household to contemplate what you want to accomplish—then seize the day!

6. Get an accountability partner. Check in regularly to review accomplishments, areas for improvement and next steps.

7. Do something you’ve always wanted. Life’s short; don’t wait to get started on that bucket list.

8. Take small steps. Whatever it is you seek, just get started. Commit to some easy, feasible activity to move you closer to those goals every day.

9. Journal.Whether it’s ideas, problems you want to solve or inspiring quotes, write it down!

10. Practice mindfulness. Improve your effectiveness, well-being and longevity, research shows, by learning how to stop needless ruminating in order to focus on the here and now.

11. Expand your capabilities. Learn a language, take a public speaking course, take up chess or skydiving or rock climbing.

12. Seek wonder. Ditch the been-there-done-that mindset. Instead, see the world through a child’s eyes; experience awe.
